§ 20-42. Application; fees.

  • (a)

    Applications for permits for public display of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of the county shall be made to the county clerk on the form prescribed by the county board, accompanied by an application fee and a clerk's fee in the amount provided in the county fee schedule. The clerk's fee shall be nonrefundable.

    (b)

    The application shall contain the name of the person and organization sponsoring the display; the exact date and time of the display; the names of personnel to be present and supervising during the display; a description of the training and experience such supervising personnel have with fireworks; and proof of insurance liability coverage for the display.

    (c)

    The application shall be accompanied by a certificate of insurance issued by an insurance company licensed to do business in the state, evidencing a minimum coverage of $1,000,000.00 per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage.

    (d)

    The application shall be accompanied by a bond from the person or organization making such application in a sum of $1,000.00 conditioned on compliance with the provisions of state and county law and state fire marshal regulations.
