§ 8-139. Inoculation.

  • (a)

    Every owner of a dog four months or more of age shall cause such dog to be inoculated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian at such intervals as may be established by regulations pursuant to the state animal control act.

    (b)

    Evidence of such rabies inoculation shall be entered on a certificate, the form of which shall be approved by the board and which shall be signed by the licensed veterinarian administering the vaccine. The board shall cause a rabies inoculation tag to be issued at such time as the dog is inoculated. The tag must be attached to a collar or harness and worn at all times by the dog for which the certificate and tag have been issued.
