§ 6-21. License restrictions.

  • Licenses issued are subject to the following restrictions:

    (1)

    No person shall conduct a poker run, raffle, or chances without having first obtained a license therefore pursuant to this article;

    (2)

    a.

    The license and application for license for raffles or chances must specify the area within the jurisdiction of this article in which raffle chances will be sold or issued, the time period during which raffle chances will be sold or issued, the time determination of winning chances and the location at which winning chances will be determined;

    b.

    The license and application for license for a poker run must specify:

    1.

    The area within the jurisdiction of this article in which the poker run will be conducted; and

    2.

    The date and time period during which the poker run will be conducted; and

    3.

    The name, address, and telephone number of all locations at which the poker run will be conducted, however, if the locations are to be determined by the participant, then such application need only include the starting location, key location, and any other location where winning chances will be determined.

    (3)

    A license application must contain a sworn statement attesting to the not-for-profit character of the prospective licensee organization, signed by the presiding officer and the secretary of the organization;

    (4)

    Licenses issued pursuant to this article shall be valid for one year;

    (5)

    The maximum number of days during which raffle chances may be issued or sold for any one raffle shall be one year.
