§ 2-113. Website.

  • The county has established a website for the office of the supervisor of assessments, to which the following regulations shall apply:

    (1)

    Access to the website shall be provided at no charge to the public for a search by address and property index number allowing anyone to access the deed holder of record, property address, legal description, lot size, market value information, age and square footage of structures, last recorded sale, and current real estate tax amount.

    (2)

    Enhanced information shall be available to subscribers, who shall make application to the office of the supervisor of assessments accompanied by the annual subscription fee in the amount provided in the county fee schedule. Subscribed shall have access to additional information for a search by name, property index number or address will be available and may include the property record card, sketch and photograph of structures on the property, prior sales information, and a five-year real estate tax history.

    Any owner of real estate may opt out of the website upon application to do so in the office of the supervisor of assessments with adequate proof of identification provided at the time of the application. The application form shall provide that the supervisor of assessments cannot be held liable in the event that an opt out parcel is inadvertently included in the system. Any parcel subject to an opt out that is sold or transferred to a third party, shall no longer qualify for the opt out and it will be necessary for a new application to be submitted. Applications to opt out shall be accompanied by a fee in the amount provided in the county fee schedule.
